Our next stop on our provincially-funded cultural trip was Oedo Garden Island, or "Oedo Botania," an entire island groomed as a botanical garden. I expected it to be a hokey experience, as a lot of these sorts of things are here in K-land, but I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful it was. Certainly a little odd for an island to be dedicated in its entirety this way, but gorgeous island views and greenery nonetheless. It felt like we had landed in the pages of a Dr. Seuss picture book.
